Weekly Prayer Focus: Grays Baptist Church

Week 9

Grays Baptist Church is a friendly, multicultural community in the heart of Grays Town Centre.

The church is led by Revd Tony Ashley, who has served as the minister for the past two years, alongside a dedicated leadership team of seven deacons and two elders.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, the church has made a strong recovery, with attendance steadily growing month by month

The church offers various activities and services to support the local community, including Tea and coffee at “The Space” on Wednesday mornings. Rascals, a carer and toddler group on Monday mornings. Wednesday evening Bible studies. Friday morning in-person Bible studies. A Ladies’ meeting is held once a month.

Cafe Connect on the first Wednesday of each month, in partnership with Community Church, offering support to people seeking asylum and refugees, led by Marsha Ashley. The fellowship also supports Thurrock Street Pastors in partnership with churches in the community of Grays.
