Witard Road Baptist Church is a growing, multigenerational church just outside city centre Norwich. There is a sense of unity in this church as they welcome people from a variety of backgrounds into the family and gently grow numerically and spiritually. Recently, they have seen their prayers answered, with a Children’s and Family Worker and a Cafe Manager appointed. Each day there is an activity in the church: from a food bank, Messy Church, Baby Steps and Toddler group to the café, manned by volunteers. After three years of faithfully running the café, the church is now seeing more people from the community joining. There is a mission and community element in everything that they do, as they move towards their vision of being “welcoming…
Willingham Baptist Church is an outgoing and evangelistically minded Church set in a rural village, lying twelve miles north-west of Cambridge. In his ministry, Kwaku has a strong evangelistic focus, and he has led the way in growing the Church. This is now resulting in new growth and provides encouragement and a new drive for the fellowship. They have seen new families attending with ten children, and the re-establishment of a thriving Sunday School. Different activities…
Laindon Baptist Church was established around 120 years ago as a village church, but now finds itself situated on the outskirts of the “new town” of Basildon in a large residential area in the south of Essex. The church, which is currently in vacancy, is being led by a committed team of volunteers, including Rene Baker, their Church Secretary. There are 23 members, with around 20 in attendance weekly, including three or four children. Services are led by a willing team of church members, with occasional visiting preachers. On the first Sunday of the month, the fellowship enjoys a Bring-and-share lunch. A committed Pastoral Team keeps the fellowship connected, and the church makes good use of a Prayer Chain to encourage members to support one…
