Report from EBA Council May 2023 The meeting was held on Zoom, all trustees were present, and we began with a time of open prayer. Binny Jaichander, a deacon from Braintree Baptist church, had shown an interest in being on the trustee board and had attended the council as an observer for the last two meetings. Council members voted unanimously to co-opt Binny onto Council for a two-year term. The Secretary reminded the Council that we now have a total of 3 co-opted members out of a possible 5 allowed within our constitution. The Home Mission Resilience Task Group has been formed and their first meeting is planned for early June. Letters were received from Churches for discussion and prayer. Report from EBA Council 01/04/2023 We have been asked if it is possible to circulate the minutes of the EBA council and following discussion of this, it was agreed that we would release a short report with some of the key decisions and information from each meeting. The EBA Moderator, Rev Fiona Heddle opened the meeting by reading Luke 18:31-34 and Luke 19:32-40 and reminding us that as we enter a period without a Regional Minister Team Leader, we will need to have courage in Christ and trust on Him. Council discussed an application for membership and made the decision to welcome this new church. Church@TheMegacentre in Rayleigh will be formally welcomed at the AGM later this year. We have created a series of eight short videos which explore the Easter story. The videos are 2-4 minutes each and they can be used by churches and individuals to share on social media and also to use in services and events.
