Throughout 2022, we are calling on EBA churches to pray ‘Which way Lord?’ As we live in these uncertain times, we feel that it is more important than ever that we seek God’s will and to invite Him to lead us afresh. This is why the theme for our rhythm of prayer this year is ‘Which way Lord?’ We will be praying at 9.30am on the 1st Tuesday of the month and we will also be continuing with our week of prayer. December Theme: Where have you seen God at work this year? Are you joining the celebration? At the end of this year where we have been praying ‘Which way Lord?’, we would like to make space to hear stories and to remind one another of ways that God has been at work. Please note the change in date to Tuesday 13th December at 9.30am. The Zoom link for …
We have produced some resources for churches to use over Christmas. Video Resources Creative Reading of Isaiah 9:1-7 Great Expectations: A sermon for advent by Claire Blatchford Making Progress Together: A sermon for the new year by Gale Richards Free Images for use in publicity & social media We have created these three designs that churches can use online in their social media and in services. Many churches use social media channels just to advertise events, but social media also gives the opportunity for us to ask questions and to produce content that people can share that will share the good news and hopefully generate conversation. Each of the three designs are available in three sizes which are optimized as a Facebook cover photo, a social media post or for a 16:9 PowerPoint slide. If you click on any of these thumbnails then it will open a full resolution …
It was so encouraging to be able to meet together online and also onsite at Upminster Baptist Church for the induction service of Rev Claire Blatchford and Rev Gale Richards as Regional Ministers in the Eastern Baptist Association on Sunday 14th November 2021. During the service, we heard from our team leader, Rev Beth Powney, Gale and Claire about how God has been at work leading us all to this point. The induction, which was conducted by the EBA moderator, Rev Fiona Heddle and Beth Powney, was followed by prayer for our new Regional ministers before Jeniya Gwendu, who was until recently the EBA moderator, prayed for the new EBA regional Team. Rev Jane Day preached a sermon that was encouraging, uplifting and challenging. She spoke to the whole congregation but also offered personal encouragements to Claire and Gale and as a part of this, she also noted that Gale …
