Minister’s Conference 2026

At our 2026 conference we’re going to be deliberately making space to hear lots of different voices speaking from a wide variety of experiences and contexts, providing all of us with opportunities to lean in and learn from those who might be different from us.  We’ll be exploring some of the conversations of Jesus, talking together about our different missional contexts, and building links with people across our Baptist movement.

Our programme will involve multi-voiced Bible Studies focusing on conversations Jesus has with those he meets in the early chapters of John’s Gospel, and will also include multi-voiced Mission Conversations looking at the opportunities presented to us through CYF ministries, justice issues, and ecumenical partnerships.  We’ll take time to reflect together on where we are seeing God at work, and consider how Jesus’ posture towards those he met might inform our mission and ministry.

We’re delighted that Rev Dr Guli Francis-Dehqani (Bishop of Chelmsford), Rev Linda Donaldson (Northern Baptist Association), Rev Clare Hooper (Southern Counties Baptist Association), Hilary Treavis (Baptist Union of Great Britain), Annet Ttendo-Miller (BMS World Mission) Rev Samson Ake (Braintree Baptist Church) and Rev Lou Webber (London Road Baptist Church, Lowestoft) will be amongst those contributing to sessions during the conference, with more contributors to be confirmed in due course.  We glad to have Rev Simon Cragg (St Andrews Street Baptist Church, Cambridge) leading our sung worship at this year’s conference.

This year we will also be welcoming Rev Jonathan and Jackie Woodhouse to our Conference.  Jackie and Jonathan will be serving as our Conference Chaplains, providing space for any of those attending to speak with them and be prayed for as part of our time together.  Jackie and Jonathan will also be leading our Morning Prayers.

We are again hosting Pioneer and Chaplains Gatherings before the conference starts and in addition this year we have added a CYF leaders gathering from 10am until 3pm (lunch Included).
Pioneers, Chaplains and CYF leaders are welcome to come for the early gathering and stay on for the whole conference.
