Framlingham is a historic market town in Suffolk with one of the largest medieval castles in England. Since 2008 the Framlingham Community Baptist Church have met each Sunday at the Thomas Mills High School. The regular congregation of about 25 people are drawn from the surrounding villages.
Sunday services are led by different speakers each week, some from within the fellowship itself, and others visiting from outside. Service are also accessible on Zoom for those unable to make it in person. Once a month there is a more informal style Café service.
There is largescale housebuilding around the town and the church is drawing up a programme of encouraging new families who move in with contact cards and welcome packs.
There is an active programme of Life Groups on Monday mornings and Thursday evenings, plus an ecumenical house group meeting in Debenham nearby on Monday evenings.
The church is also very involved in supporting CAP (Christians Against Poverty) locally and help in running the CAP’s Money Coaching Course. And there is also practical support given to the local Foodbank.
At the beginning of September the church held an away day at Vauxhall Christian Trust joining with another local Church, Cransford Christian Fellowship, for a Sunday service as part of a day filled with children’s activities, crafts, food and fellowship together. This proved to be really successful and was a very enjoyable event .
Please pray:
· For growth of the church which has stalled since the pandemic.
· For God’s guidance as the Leadership Team discern the future vision and way forward for the church.
· For an increase in engagement and involvement with the local community.
