As we come to the end of the calendar but embrace the beginning of a new liturgical year with the season of Advent, we’re grateful as a team to be able to look back and to give thanks, but also to look forward with anticipation of all that God is still to do.
The prayers, practical support, and encouragement of churches and ministers across the Association has been a real blessing this year. We appreciate all the ways in which people express their support for us, and we’re particularly grateful for our home churches and the blessing they are to us.
As a team, we always have reasons to be grateful when we gather together because of all that is happening across our Association. We love hearing stories of baptisms, new mission initiatives, faithful members serving their communities over many years, ecumenical projects, and people stepping out and developing their gifts and skills. We can see the God is at work in lots of different ways across our four counties!
Our team has changed this year, and we’re so delighted to have Vicky, Chris, Gillian, Gina and Sharon working with us. We’re also praying for the appointment of a new PA in January.
The national context in which we work is changing, and we’ll need to continue adjusting in the years ahead as we seek to serve our region as best we can with the resources that we’ll have available to us. We’ll need much wisdom and creativity in the year ahead,
Please continue to pray for the team as we work together to serve the Association, and for good conversations about how we work most effectively into the new season that is emerging.
Specifically, we’d value prayers for:
