Church Langley Church in Harlow is an ecumenical family church, catering for the people of Church Langley and beyond. Meeting in the Chapel and community centre on the edge of Tesco’s car park, it brings together Baptists, Church of England, Methodists and United Reformed Church. These different traditions are reflected in the Sunday worship.
This church has much to give thanks for as they just celebrated thirty years of ministry with a day of celebration and activities, including sampling the wonderfully spicy food that represents the many ethnicities in their congregation. This season has also brought a full ministry team to the church which they are grateful for.
Rev Alison Taylor is their ministry lead. She has been a minister here at Church Langley Church and at Potters Street Baptist Church for fifteen years. She brings her unique character to these churches, always looking for different ways of doing things for God. Alongside Alison, is Rev Shaun Moore and Lis Scott from the Church of England, and Sarah Mitchell who is the new Children, Youth and Families worker.
Alongside their regular coffee morning, the church is looking for new ways to reach the community, which is a challenge as they are not surrounded by houses, but the church has a passion for reaching the area. They aim to take the enthusiasm and excitement from their recent celebrations and focus that into the future of the church and the area.
