Each week the Eastern Baptist Association will produce a Weekly Prayer Focus for a different member church across the region. We hope you will be able to use the article and accompanying PowerPoint and PDF to encourage you and your churches in prayers for others in the association.

Gamlingay is a village in rural west Cambridgeshire where there has been a Baptist witness since the Old Meeting House was built in 1670. Gamlingay Baptist Church is a small, caring and welcoming church that wants to be at the heart of its local community. Revd Adrian Semerene became the pastor in October 2016. In the past year there has been an increase in membership and a phenomenal growth in the Sunday morning congregation. The church is very active in the community, connecting and engaging with many of the local residents through messy church, craft mornings and sharing lots of coffee. The church takes part in the annual village show with a stall and this year a professional musician who is a church member also…

Elm Park Baptist Church is a warm and friendly fellowship with a Sunday congregation size of 60-75. We reflect the significantly changing demographics of the diverse multi-cultural and multi-ethnic London Borough of Havering, located on the edge of East London and Essex in the leafy commuter suburb of Elm Park, between Romford, Hornchurch and Dagenham. We have been faithfully serving the Lord and our local community for 80 years and have a vibrant and growing Boys Brigade and Girls Brigade at the centre of our youth outreach, along with a Sunday Junior Church. Thetford is a small market town in the Breckland District of Norfolk, on the Norfolk/Suffolk border. It is surrounded by Thetford Forest which is a popular holiday destination and within easy reach of many different nature reserves. King Street Baptist Church (KSBC) is situated in the middle of Thetford town, surrounded by shops and cafes. The church has recently celebrated the induction of their new Minister-in-Training Sally Sago. The fellowship is small but enthusiastic and meets regularly, welcoming visitors and friends of the church to worship with them on a regular basis. There is an active ecumenical partnership in the town, Thetford Christians Together, and KSBC supports many joint activities from their premises, including Kidz Club and Healing on the Streets. It is a time…

Frinton Free Church is a thriving town centre church in the heart of this Essex seaside town where the Senior Minister is Revd Mark Massey. The church actively engages with the local community and is a hive of activity during the week. Please pray for TLG Tendring, a brand new venture for young people at risk of exclusion from school. And the long-running Oasis Café which offers friendship and a variety of activities as part of the church’s outreach ministry. Watch the video at
