Leigh Road Baptist Church (LRBC) is expanding its children’s and families work across the church and local community and is looking for a person (or persons) with enthusiasm, experience and creativity to be hands on and mobilize and lead a team of volunteers. The aim is to see children and families encounter God and become lifetime followers of Jesus. This is a key appointment for LRBC at an exciting time as we take a fresh look at the shape of this ministry.
The purpose of this role is to develop our ministry with children and their families within the wider vision and strategy of LRBC by working with others and using both in-person and online opportunities. This will include leading and coordinating activities across areas such as pre-school, toddler groups, Sunday junior church and various youth groups as well as developing a partnership with a local primary school.
The successful applicant(s) will have a strong Christian faith, be passionate about children and families with a good track record in this area. We welcome applicants to either a full-time or two part-time roles. Salary will be commensurate with experience but is expected to be in the range of £22,000 – £26,000 per annum (pro rata for part-time). LRBC is committed to the nurturing, protection and safeguarding of all we come into contact with and a DBS Enhanced Check is required for this position.
