Association Safeguarding Lead

Eastern Baptist Association


The Eastern Baptist Association is seeking a suitably experienced part-time Safeguarding Officer who will take a lead for the Association on issues relating to safeguarding and the protection of children, young people and adults at risk. This person will work closely with the Regional Team to provide good quality safeguarding guidance and support to churches within the Association.


This will be achieved by making provision for regular safeguarding training at BUGB level 2 and 3 across the region (with the assistance of appointed EBA Safeguarding Trainers); compliance with the Baptist Union of Great Britain safeguarding policies and procedures; adhering to legal requirements on all matters of safeguarding; providing good quality advice, guidance and support regarding safeguarding concerns raised by a church or an individual.


The post holder will join the EBA Regional team and play a key role in supporting, resourcing and providing encouragement for the local church.


This role will be initially be for 3 years, with the possibility of extension and will be mainly home based for an average of 8 hours per week.

At a rate of £12 per hour
