Our context for mission and ministry continues to change at a pace that it can be a struggle to get to grips with. But rather than leaving us overwhelmed and despondent about our capacity to meet this challenge, these changes present us with myriad opportunities to discover new life and new Kingdom opportunities.
At our 2025 conference we’re going to be asking lots of questions about the future, including having particular sessions looking at digital mission and financial sustainability. We’ll also take time to reflect on how being rooted in our Baptist tradition, and most importantly in the person and ministry of Jesus, helps us navigate all that is changing around us.
It promises to be an optimistic time, not because the subject matter is easy, but because it will be an expression of the hope that God goes with us into whatever the future holds.
We’re delighted that Rev Dr Sally Mann (Bonny Downs Baptist Church), Dr Jonas Kurlberg (Spurgeon’s College), Rev Lisa Kerry (Central Baptist Association), Rev Dr Andy Goodliff (Belle Vue Baptist Church / Regent’s Park College), and Rev Elizabeth Stoner (Light of Life Baptist Church) will all be leading sessions as part of our programme. It is also a joy for us to have Bethany Warton returning to lead our sung worship at this year’s conference, and we look forward to sessions from BMS World Mission and the Joint Public Issues Team.
In addition, following the positive feedback from last year we are hosting Pioneer and Chaplains Gatherings before the conference starts from 10am until 3pm (lunch Included).
Pioneers and Chaplains are welcome to come for the early gathering and stay on for the whole conference.
