Gathering 2022

This year’s annual gathering will take place on Saturday 24 September at Bluntisham Baptist Church, Cambridgeshire.
The day will run from 1.30pm -5pm and include worship, workshops and teaching.

We are delighted that Rev Susan Myatt will be our Keynote speaker,
Susan was born Deaf and into a Deaf family, Susan attended a boarding school for the deaf and engaged in various occupations before feeling God’s call on her life to serve in ministry for the Deaf community. Susan attended the Northern Baptist College, and became the first Deaf Baptist Minister in September 2016. Susan holds a number of ministerial roles; Minister at Open Hands Signing Church which is part of Rising Brook, wider outreach for Heart of England Baptist Association (HEBA) and Lichfield Diocese church advisor to the Deaf.
Susan is joining us to help us explore journeying with one another, and embracing diversity within the church. If you wish to know a little bit more about Susan and her ministry you can watch this short video.

As part of the afternoon we will also share afternoon tea and taking part in one of the 3 workshops

Exploring what it means to be a Trustee Led by the EBA Team

The Gathering will also include the AGM of Eastern Baptist Association, more details will be released about this nearer the time.

The gathering is open to anyone from your church who wishes to attend. To book your places please email EBA Secretary on secretary@easternbaptist.org.uk

In addition to the gathering Bluntisham Baptist Church having just completed a big building and refurbishment project have offered to open up early at lunchtime and give churches who are considering a project of this nature the chance to come and ask questions and hear their experience. People wishing to take part in this will need to let EBA Secretary know and will be required to bring their own packed lunch.
